Austin has served as the administrative director and a member of the operating board of Lux Choir since 2018. This unique organization, which began as just a group of high school singers, has grown into a non-profit with over 25 singers on the yearly roster. Austin has worked to grow Lux, both in membership and revenue, and is an integral part of the musicianship and leadership team. As the primary contact for patrons and donors, Austin has experience working with coordination and organization of fundraising efforts.
During her time at Gettysburg College, Austin was an active member of the admissions community. Her main position with the office was as a Music Ambassador for the conservatory, a position which she helped create. Austin led a team of eight other student leaders to engage with prospective conservatory students, giving tours and advising the office on conservatory recruitment. As a senior leader, Austin also managed content creation and posting on the student-run Instagram page for the conservatory.
Working closely with the coordinator of vocal studies at Gettysburg, Austin helped to coordinate recitals, masterclasses, and studios for the voice area. She was also a resource to students and accompanists on departmental policy and scheduling.
